What is the AccelerateRx school-preparation program?

How is AccelerateRx different from traditional preschool preparation activities?

AccelerateRx differs from traditional school preparation classes by being individual and personalized. During the program, we take into account your child’s unique abilities and needs, thus ensuring maximum development. Unlike traditional school preparation programs, AccelerateRx develops all seven key cognitive skills, not just targeting one or two specific skills, this comprehensive treatment is essential for successful school integration and learning. The program operates on a scientific basis, making it proven to be effective. With AccelerateRx, we not only prepare your child for school, but also help them to love learning and confidently face new challenges.

Why is such high intensity needed?

The neural structures can only be truly modified if we intensively intervene in their functioning. Therefore, it is essential for the program to be of high intensity – this is the only way we can achieve the desired and lasting developmental results.

When will I notice changes in my child?

Based on our experience, the first noticeable changes usually appear around the 5-6th week after starting the program.

How do I get feedback on my child's progress?

The program package includes three parent consultations:

  • one during the first weeks of the program,
  • one at the halfway point of the program,
  • one after the evaluation of the final output test.

In addition, after each session we provide a brief, 2-3 minute personal feedback about the current developments.

How does the program indirectly affect the child's sense of competence and confidence?

During the program, we always work above the challenge level, meaning we expect a little bit more than what the child can confidently accomplish alone – but they receive continuous support from the trainer. When they reach the set goal, they celebrate it together, and the next challenge follows. This way, the child experiences that they can develop if they are persistent. This experience helps them to stand up more confidently in other life situations as well.

Working at a table, but also on a tablet with the child's personal trainer. What type of tasks does my child do on the tablet?

The tablet-based task execution is content-independent cognitive skill development – similar to personal training. A special digital program directs the tasks, which adjusts the challenges to the child’s current performance. However, human presence and guidance are essential.

What does a training approach mean?

This is a collaboration between the child and the therapist, where the trainer guides the child through challenges with a positive, supportive attitude. The goal is for the child to remain in a state of high attention throughout, while still feeling safe in a loving, playful environment. The trainer does not allow the child to become mentally “frustrated” – instead helps them experience that they are capable of overcoming difficulties, thereby increasing their self-confidence as well.
